The first plastic toy vehicules were introduced in 1937. By the late 1940's they were parading across the counters of America's leading variety and departement stores. Colorful and sturdy, their streamlined designs spoke to us of the future, while their lifelike details, impossible to obtain in other materials, satisfied our demand for realism and anthenticity in our playthings.
